Antonov moves vital power station parts in Iraq

The consignment weighed in at 75 tons, and was made up of a damaged power station rotor and associated equipment
that urgently needed repair at a Dutch engineering facility.

This was part of a critical mission to get the power station running again, as it supplies power to North Baghdad.
SkyLink moved this vital equipment on 28th November 2006 and utilized an AN124-100.

The components will be repaired in record time, and returned to Iraq for installation in the power station project.
This mission was all carried out during one of the worst weeks of violence seen in Iraq since the invasion of Iraq.
