Ruslan International deliver brand new trains

In the last days of February, Ruslan International delivered four Bombardier train vehicles for the new Delhi Metro System from Parchim,Germany to Delhi, India, on a Ruslan AN124-100.
The preparation and the planning of this delivery took almost a year with development of the complete load process to ensure the secure delivery of the new trains.
The outsize air cargo was loaded with a newly developed external ramp, built specifically for this project with traditional railway track laid through the aircraft's cargo hold for stowage of the vehicle.
Initially the new trains will be used for training by local Indian crews, in advance of a full scale delivery for the Metro network from June 2009
Four charter flights were operated within 10 days with a significant following from the freight forwarding and railway press. The flights were conducted with Panalpina and their PanProjects division in Germany.
