ProAir charters Ruslan International AN-124 for 47 ton kiln tyre for Indian cement plant.

The transport of a kiln tyre weighing 47 tons (diameter 6 meters) for an Indian cement plant was recently organized by German logistics provider LPL Aircargo GmbH (LPL).
The combination of tight timeframe and cargo dimensions dictated the use of an AN-124 for the flight from Milan's Malpensa airport, Italy, to Mumbai in India.
LPL chartered the aircraft from Pro Air-Charter-Transport GmbH with offices located in Stuttgart and Frankfurt/Main airport.
With the assistance and expertise of Ruslan International the operational realization of the entire logistics chain was arranged in a record breaking time of less than ten days from booking until arrival in Mumbai.
